                                                   Several Arrest Made for Drugs

 

Sheriff Jimmy Harris states as follows:

 

                 Sheriff Jimmy Harris reports the following arrests for various drug charges. DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office K-9 officer stopped a car in the Mentone area on September 24. As the Deputy approached the vehicle he saw three individuals, Fredrick Daniel Holt 39, Lebrandon Marquet Sandridge 24, and Melody Jeanette Broadnax 33 all of Gadsden. The Deputy found Holt in possession of a bag of Controlled Substance on his person. After further search Deputy and DeKalb County Drug Task Force found two black bags in the vehicle containing 60 10gram bags of controlled substance and two boxes of blunt wraps.  Fredrick Daniel Holt was arrested and charged with Using False Identity to Obstruct Justice, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Carrying Concealed Weapon without a permit. Lebrandon Marquet Sandridge and Melody Jeanette Broadnax were also arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Carrying Concealed Weapon without a permit. During another traffic stop Jacob W. Gore, 21 of Fyffe was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

               On September 23 DeKalb County Sheriff’s Deputy and Collinsville Police Officer went to a residence in Collinsvilleto serve an arrest warrant. At this time the Deputy and Officer got consent to search the residence. During the search the Deputy and Officer found Jerry Dale Johnson, 56 of Collinsville and Jonathan Paul Gilbert, 33 of Collinsville in possession of Drugs. Both individuals were arrested and transported to the DeKalb County Detention Center. Jerry Dale Johnson was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd. Jonathan Paul Gilbert was charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Failure to Comply.

               On September 25 DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Deputy went to a residence to serve a warrant on John Henry Underwood, 44 of Fort Payne. While at the residence the Deputy found Underwood in possession of drugs. Underwood was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Failure to Appear Warrant. 

                On an unrelated incident DeKalb County Deputy responded to a breaking and entering call. When deputies arrived at the residence and talked to the owner, they were informed that the suspect fled the scene. While searching the area, deputies received a call saying that the suspect was back at the residence. Juan Rico-Canchola, 42 of Omega, Georgia was found in possession of Methamphetamine. Canchola was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance.
