Sheriff Jimmy Harris states as follows:

 

            Sheriff Jimmy Harris reports around 4:00 am today DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office received a call of an unresponsive female at Doug Minors residence at 1587 County Road 127 on Lookout Mountain. When Deputies arrived on scene they found the victim inside the residence. The manner of death is possibly blunt force trauma to the head with bruising on the body. District Attorney Mike O’Dell has ordered an autopsy. The victim was picked up by the corner and transported to the Department of Forensic Science in Huntsville. We will not know the cause of death until the pathologist report is received by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office and District Attorney’s Office. We received reports that the home owner Doug Minor left the residence in a 1998 White Ford Ranger with a homemade bumper on the front of the truck and tag number 28BJ617. The direction of travel is unknown at this time. Norma Jo Grinnell maybe a passenger in the vehicle with Minor. Both Doug Minor age 32, height 6’ weight 190lbs and Norma Jo Grinnell age 36, height 5”5”, weight 185 are both persons of interest. If this vehicle is seen please contact the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office immediately at 256-845-3801, your local Sheriff’s Office or Police Department.

            Sheriff Harris states “anyone coming in contact with these persons please contact your local law enforcement because they are considered dangerous and maybe armed.”
