Several Individuals arrested for Various Charges
Sheriff Jimmy Harris states as follows:
Sheriff Jimmy Harris reports the arrest of 4 individuals on three separate cases.
On October 18th deputies were called to County Road 121 in Fort Payne concerning an unwanted guest. When deputies arrived Joshua Eugene Kean, 32 of Fort Payne became combative and deputies found Methamphetamine on his person. It was also reported to the deputies of possible Sexual Abuse of a minor at the residence. Kean was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting arrest. After being questioned by investigators Kean was also charged with Assault 2rd, Sexual Abuse 1st and Sexual Abuse 2nd. On November 2nd DeKalb County Sheriff Office obtained a warrant on Robert Lee Putnam, 35 of Ledbetter Kentucky for fraudulent use of a credit card. Putnam had ties with the victim who lives in Ider and obtained the credit card while in DeKalb County. During the investigation it was discovered that the card was used in DeKalb and surrounding Counties. Putnam was located and detained by Paducah Police Department in Kentucky and is waiting to be transported back to DeKalb County Detention Center. Also on November 2nd Investigators arrested Cody Shane Crowe, 22 of Flat Rock and Ricky Darrell Traylor Jr, 23 of Henagar on a case of the theft of a motor vehicle that was stolen North of Cartersville on Highway 75. The same vehicle was recovered by DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office on County Road 146 and Highway 75. Both Crowe and Traylor was charged with Theft 1st and transported to the DeKalb County Detention Center. Sheriff Harris says “The deputies and investigators from our office put in a tremendous amount of hours and work day and night with other police departments and State and Federal agencies to make these arrest. I would like to ask all of the citizens of this County to continue to call in all tips or any information that you have to make this arrest possible.”
