        Drug Bust

Sheriff Jimmy Harris states as follows:

            On today’s date July 15th the DeKalb County Drug and Major Crimes Task Force, Sylvania Police Department, ATF and DEA went to a residence on County Road 407 in Sylvania to execute a search warrant. As a result of the search they found marijuana growing at the home and also found Drug Paraphernalia and Methamphetamine in the home. Eric Shane Freeman, 46 of Sylvania was arrested and charged with Trafficking in any Illegal Drug, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Persons Forbidden to Possess a Firearm and Chester L. Buttram, 43 of Sylvania was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

This has been an ongoing investigation and the Drug Task Force has been following up on leads for several months now, making these arrest possible.
