                       One Arrested with Several Charges

Sheriff Jimmy Harris states as follows:

            On August 9th DeKalb County Sheriff’s Deputies went to a residence at intersection of County Road 190 and 192 to serve an eviction notice to William Thomas Crane Jr., 38 of Crossville. When deputies encountered Crane they found him in possession of a large amount of methamphetamine on his person and found a firearm in the residence. Crane also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for Theft of Property 1st. Crane was arrested and charged with the warrant of Theft of Property 1st, Trafficking in any Illegal Drug, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and carrying brass knuckles. This is an ongoing investigation with pending charges of Felon in Possession of a Firearm and with more charges possible.

            Sheriff Harris says “deputies once again did an outstanding job on being observant as they executed the eviction process.”
