                                                  Burglary Arrest

Sheriff Jimmy Harris states as follows:

Sheriff Jimmy Harris reports the arrest of Sheila Keith Westbrooks, age 45 of Ider, after Ider police department questioned her about suspicious activity.  Westbrooks was taken into custody for trespassing and later charged with Unlawful possession of controlled substance, Tampering with evidence, two counts of Burglary 3^rd, and two counts of Theft of property 2^nd.  Westbrooks is charged with two burglaries in the Ider community in which medication was taken from residences.  Westbrooks was taken to the DeKalb County Detention Center where she is currently awaiting bond. 

Sheriff Jimmy Harris says “The people in this area were observant and quickly notified the Ider police department when they saw suspicious activity.  Evidence recovered at the scene and in the possession of the suspect would indicate we have the person responsible for these burglaries.  We really appreciate the neighbors and Ider police department responding so quickly.”
