Fugitive Found in Henagar
Sheriff Jimmy Harris states as follows:
Sheriff Jimmy Harris reports that on the morning of April 10, 2014, the Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the United States Marshals Service located in Georgia concerning their fugitive investigation of Kevin Clay Parker. Parker, 43 of Ringgold, Georgia, was wanted by the Catoosa County Georgia Sheriff’s Office for Aggravated Assault.
Through the joint efforts of the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, the Henagar Police Department, and the United States Marshals Service, the investigation led to a construction project at Koch Farms in Henagar. Parker was taken into custody just before noon on the same day at the Koch Foods jobsite, then to the Henagar Police Department, and later transported to the DeKalb County Detention Center where he awaits extradition to Georgia.
Sheriff Harris says “This is another example of how agencies working together can make a difference in the safety in DeKalb County. By working together this violent fugitive was taken off our streets and he will be sent back to Georgia to answer to this Aggravated Assault charge”
