Stolen Car Leads to Arrest

Sheriff Jimmy Harris states as follows:

Sheriff Jimmy Harris reports the arrest of Calvin Tyrone Mostiller, 40 of Guntersville after he was observed in a stolen vehicle in Collinsville Saturday by Deputies. Mostiller was observed driving a silver Honda Passenger car which fit the description of a car an escaped inmate from Etowah County was last seen in. Mostiller failed to stop for the deputies until he was forced into a dead end road a short time later. Mostiller was jailed on outstanding warrants and transported to the DeKalb County Detention Center. Mostiller is currently in jail on the warrants as well as Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Receiving Stolen Property 1st. Additional charges may be coming after a further investigation with Marshall County authorities.

Harris states “these officers were very observant in catching this individual while they were looking for the escapee who was from Collinsville. There may be some more charges once we get all the information about the actual theft of the car from Marshall County.”
