Dispatch

The dispatchers at DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office provide a vital link between the citizens needing assistance and the deputies on patrol.

Dispatchers work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. Responsibilities of the dispatchers include: answering phone calls (both non-emergency and emergency 9-1-1 calls); collecting and documenting information that pertains to each call; dispatch deputies to answer the calls; monitor the radio for all law enforcement traffic; support all divisions (Investigator, Patrol, etc.) with data entry/query into the National Criminal Information Center (NCIC) database; and other services as needed.

The Dispatch Division includes Dispatch Supervisor Ryan Sauls, Caitlin East, Jimmy Gibson, Sarah Hamilton, Kaitlyn Little, Sara McAnelly, Jenalee Roberts, Christina Whitcomb and Savannah Willingham.
