Bond Set for Tyler Ryan Blansit

Sheriff Jimmy Harris states as follows:

Sheriff Jimmy Harris report the bond was set at $500,000 cash for Tyler Ryan Blansit on the charge of murder of his mother Sherry Ann Blansit. Assistant District Attorney Bob Johnston describes the incident were Tyler used a baseball bat to beat his mother in the face till she was unrecognizable.

Sheriff Harris says “in over 25 years of Law Enforcement being on almost every major crime scene in DeKalb County, this is one of the most brutal deaths I have ever seen. I can’t image how anyone could be so upset over anything that they would beat their own mother to death in this manner. Our thoughts and prayers goes out to the family and friends of Mrs. Blansit.”
