Steele Found

Sheriff Jimmy Harris states as follows:

            Sheriff Jimmy Harris reports that on June 9th Courtney Dawn Steele, 34 of Dawson is in custody at the DeKalb County Detention Center after receiving a call from a concerned citizen that saw Steele walking into the woods on County Road 44 in Cherokee County. Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the call and made the arrest of Steele. Cherokee County Deputies turned Steele over to the DeKalb County Deputies and Drug Task Force Agents. Steele was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Theft of Property 3rd, and Escape 3rd.

            Sheriff Harris states “thanks to the concerned citizen that called in Steele’s whereabouts and to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputies we have Steele in custody.”
