2 Lost in High Falls

 

 

Sheriff Jimmy Harris states as follows:

 

           

                Sheriff Jimmy Harris reports that early this morning DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office received a call about 2 missing in High Falls. DeKalb County Deputies, Geraldine Police Department, Geraldine Rescue Squad, Grove Oak Fire, State Troopers and State Troopers Helicopter all responded to High Falls. The trooper helicopter located the victims along the creek at 4:28 am. The officers and Geraldine Rescue went into the woods down to the creek and located the victims. When the victims were brought out at 5:17 am they stated that they had started fishing at Highway 227 and was walking down Town Creek toward High Falls and got lost. The victims had no injuries.

            Sheriff Harris states “Thanks to the Geraldine Police Department, Geraldine Rescue Squad, Grove Oak Fire Department, State Troopers, State Troopers Helicopter, and the Deputies that helped find these two victims. We are glad that they were found safe and unharmed.”
