North Carolina Man Arrested

Sheriff Jimmy Harris states as follows:

                Sheriff Jimmy Harris states that this morning, January 15th, DeKalb County E911 received a call about a man on the Interstate near the Collinsville exit waving a gun and had traffic stopped. When Collinsville Police, Deputies, Drug Task Force and State Troopers arrived they found Adam Eugene Finch, 53 of Oxford NC sitting in his vehicle. When Deputies and Drug Task Force got consent to search the vehicle they found a gun laying in the back seat and 2 meth pipes. DeKalb Ambulance Service was called to make sure nothing was wrong with Finch, the medical personnel found Finch to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Finch was then arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and DUI of Controlled Substance.

                Sheriff Harris says “thanks to the quick action of Collinsville Police, Deputies, Drug Task Force and State Troopers it kept this situation from escalating into something more.”
