Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrests
Sheriff Jimmy Harris states as follows:
On September 27th Deputies stop a vehicle on County Road 602 and 603. With consent to search the vehicle Deputies found Meth, around $2000, Drug Paraphernalia, Marijuana and a gun, at which time the DeKalb County Drug and Major Crimes Task Force was called to the scene. Both passengers of the vehicle was arrested Billy H. Seabolt, 56 of Pisgah and Hanna Daniel Pell, 21 of Fort Payne. Seabolt was charged with Trafficking in Any Illegal Drug, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Persons forbidden to possess a Firearm, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Pell was charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Seabolt has been under investigation with the DeKalb County Drug and Major Crimes Task Force for some time and more charges are pending. This is still an ongoing investigation. Sheriff Harris says “the Deputies and other Police Officers in the County are doing a good job being observation of these drug situations. We continue to train and encourage our deputies to fight the drug problem in our County every day.”
