For Immediate Release November 10, 2016 Several Arrested made over the Week
Sheriff Jimmy Harris states as follows:
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators have made several arrest on different cases this week. On November 2nd the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office received a call from DeKalb E911 about a domestic violence incident at a residence on County Road 122 in Henagar. When deputies, Henagar Police and Ider Police arrived at the residence the victim stated that Cameron Chase Swearingen, 32 of Pisgah had assaulted her. Warrants was obtained for Swearingen and was arrested on the November 5th with a charge of Domestic Violence Strangulation/Suffocation. On October 24th the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office did a report about a stolen vehicle. During the in investigation warrants were obtained for John Codye Bethune, 26 of Henagar. On November 4th Henagar Police Department went to a residence on County Road 727 in Henagar were they noticed Bethune beside the vehicle that had been reported stolen. At which time the DeKalb County deputies were called to the scene. Bethune was arrested on warrants for Criminal trespass and two Failure to Appear warrants. Bethune was also charged with Obscuring ID of a Vehicle, Receiving Stolen Property 1st, and Receiving Stolen Property 4th. On November 5th the DeKalb County Sheriff’s office received a call about a burglary and an assault on a male at a residence on Blue Pond Blvd in Sylvania. As a result of the investigation warrants were obtained for John Fulgum, 34 of Sylvania. On November 10th Fulgum was arrested for the warrants; 2 counts of Menacing and Assault 3rd. Sheriff Harris says “The Investigators have done a great job on these cases. I would also like to thank the Henagar and Ider Police Departments for their help in these arrest.”
