 Two Arrested for Drug

Sheriff Jimmy Harris states as follows:

On May 20th DeKalb County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at County Road 169 and county Road 817 in Flat Rock. When Deputies were speaking to the persons in the vehicle they seemed to be nervous. The K-9 Deputy got K-9 Yogi out of the patrol car to do an open air sniff around the vehicle, Yogi indicated on the vehicle that drugs where inside. Deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and as a result a black backpack was found with syringes, digital scales, small container with a white substance that tested positive for meth, and 5.40 grams of methamphetamine inside. Whitney Nicole Boatner was also found with a clear baggy of methamphetamine on her person. Both Whitney Nicole Boatner, 28 of Ider and John Allen Henson, 53 of Huntsville were arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Chief Deputy Michael Edmondson “This is another good drug seizure that our Deputies and K-9 made. We are proud of their hard work that they do to rid drugs out of our County.”
