Investigator Scott Tarrant selected as Times-Journal's 2019 Best County Deputy!
Investigator Scott Tarrant was selected as this year's Best County Deputy by the Fort Payne Times-Journal.
Tarrant started at the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office working in the Detention Center in 1995. He was promoted to Deputy Sheriff in 1998 and served as a School Resource Officer (SRO) for 10 years. After serving as an SRO, he was promoted to Patrol Sergeant.
In 2014, Tarrant was promoted to investigator, which he still works as today.
