47 Arrests Made on Drug Related Charges in the Past Several Weeks

 

FORT PAYNE, Ala. -  Over the last 2 months DeKalb County Sheriff's Deputies, along with Mentone PD, Ider PD, Sylvania PD, Collinsville PD, Geraldine PD, The Criminal Interdiction Unit and ALEA Region F Task Force have made 47 arrests on narcotic related charges in several incidents around the county.      

On Friday, September 4th, Narcotics Agents conducted a search at a residence in Geraldine which resulted in the arrests of Alexander Gilbert Mosley (28 of Geraldine) and Lucas Phillip Mosley (25 of Geraldine). Both were charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x3) and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  On top of the other charges, Alexander Gilbert Mosley was also charged with Failure to Comply.  During a search of the residence, deputies found Methamphetamine, Ecstasy and Steroids.  On the same day, deputies conducted a traffic stop near County Road 122 near Henagar. Methamphetamine was found resulting in the arrest of Marlon Sargent (53 of Pisgah).  Sargent was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

 On Monday, September 7th two separate traffic stops resulted in the findings of Methamphetamine. Tiffany Crocker (29 of Rainsville) was arrested at County Road 52 and County Road 1004 in Geraldine and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Kenny Taylor (48 of Dawson) was arrested on County Road 150 in Dawson, for Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Tuesday, September 8th, Heather Dowdy (37 of Union Grove) and Christopher Kelly (32 of Crossville) were arrested after a traffic stop on County Road 9.  The traffic stop resulted in Deputies finding Methamphetamine, Marijuana, controlled medication and other drugparaphernalia.  Dowdy was charged with Possession of Marijuana,Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd.   Kelley was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  On the same day, Deputies found Marijuana, THC oils and Drug Paraphernalia with Reace Osborn (20 of Collinsville) being arrested for this offense.  Osborn was arrested in Collinsville and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Thursday, September 10th, Henry Franklin Holcomb (50 of Crossville) was arrested on County Road 125 near the Marshall County line.  After deputies found Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle, Holcomb was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Friday, September 11th, deputies assisted the Mentone Police Department on a traffic stop on Alabama Hwy 117 in Mentone. Thomas Dakota Jackson (27 of Fort Payne) was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Monday, September 14th, Michael Lee Steele (52 of Dawson) was arrested on Hwy 75 in Fyffe and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  A search of his vehicle revealed Methamphetamine, Marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  On the same day, Tiffany Lynn Moore (32 of Oneonta) and Erik Scott Trotman (36 of Fort Payne) were arrested at Ramblewood Apartments in Fort Payne after Deputies responded to complaints that were e-mailed to the Sheriff's Office tip line.  Moore was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st and Unlawful Possession of Drug ParaphernaliaTrotman was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Monday, September 14th, a traffic stop on County Road 680 near Sylvania led to the arrest of William Timothy Busby (67 of Sylvania).  Busby was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Tuesday, September 15th, Sherry Freeman (50 of Decatur) and Sonia Posey (47 of Rainsville) were arrested on County Road 216 near Sylvania and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x2) and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Methamphetamine, Xanax and drug paraphernalia were found during the search.

On Friday, September 18th, Tyler King (27 of Rainsville) was arrested near Plainview High School and charged with Public Intoxication.  She was also charged with Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd upon her arrival to the county jail.

On Saturday, September 19, Jessica Bussey (30 of Pisgah) and Timothy Brandon Lee Richards (38 of Pisgah) were arrested after a traffic stop at County Road 50 and County Road 43.  Bussey was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x2), Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd, Tampering with Evidence and Unlawful Possession of Drug ParaphernaliaRichards was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x2) and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Sunday, September 20th, Narcotics Agents were contacted following a vehicle pursuit by Ider Police Department.  Bryon Ray Gentry (47 of Bryant) was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Attempting to Elude.

On Sunday, September 20th, Deputies assisted Sylvania Police Department on County Road 194 in the arrest of Ashley Nichole Hurst (35 of Gadsden).  Hurst was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x2), Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Public Intoxication, Giving False Information and Illegal Possession of Prescription Pills.  During the stop, Methamphetamine, Synthetic Marijuana and prescription pills was located within the vehicle.

Deputies assisted Collinsville Police Department on a traffic stop at the intersection of Hwy 11 and Hall Street in Collinsville on Monday, September 21st, which resulted in the arrest of Daniel Cruz (35 of Collinsville).  Cruz was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Monday, September 21st, after following up on a complaint on KC Lane in Collinsville, agents arrested Sylvester Williams Jr (61 of Collinsville) and Calvin Williams (29 of Collinsville).  Sylvester Williams Jr was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x4), Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st, Certain Person Forbidden to Possess Pistol and Unlawful Possession of Drug ParaphernaliaCalvin Williams was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x4) Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  During the search agents found Methamphetamine, Hydrocodone, Synthetic Marijuana, Tramadol and Marijuana.

On Monday, September 21st, during a traffic stop on County Road 792 near Cartersville, deputies arrested Paul Nelson Williams (53 of Dutton) and Mesha Madonna Martin (50 of Pisgah).  Both were charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  During the stop, agents found Synthetic Marijuana

On Monday, September 21st, Kyla Dabbs (29 of Fort Payne) and Sonya Gonzalez (38 of Rainsville) was arrested at a residence on Gault Avenue SW in Fort Payne.  Both were charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On Tuesday, September 22nd a traffic stop at the intersection of Dogtown Road and Jennings Road in Fort Payne, resulted in the arrest of Marcie Auman (48 of Fort Payne).  Auman was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. During the stop, deputies found Methamphetamine, Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.  Another stop on County Road 843, resulted in the arrest of Heath Dixson (43 of Fort Payne).  Dixson was charged with Attempting to Elude and Reckless Endangerment.

On Wednesday, September 23rd, The Criminal Interdiction Unit conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 68 that lead to the arrest of Francisco Javier Colunga (45 of Fort Payne), Diego Orozco (24 of Fort Payne) and Diego Garcia (21 of Fort Payne).  All three subjects were charged with Trafficking and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  A K-9 unit was used and assisted our officers in finding over 28 grams of Methamphetamine.

On Saturday, September 26th, DeKalb County Deputies assisted ALEA in the arrest of Anthony Phillips (53 of Sylvania) who was traveling on Dilbeck Road in Rainsville.  Phillips was charged with Possession with Intent and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Methamphetamine was found during the stop.

On Wednesday, September 30th, Austin Cuzzort (23 of Centre) was arrested in the Antioch Community on County Road 56 during a traffic stop and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  During the stop, Methamphetamine was found.

On Thursday, October 1st, Narcotics Agents arrested Sara Lucille Mooneyham (23 of Crossville) in the Blake Community near the intersection of County Road 90 and 505.  She was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.

On Sunday, October 4th, The Drug Task Force assisted Collinsville Police Department on a traffic stop. Linda Ramsey (49 of Sand Rock) was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  During the stop, Synthetic Marijuana was found.

On Monday October 5th, The Drug Task Force assisted Sylvania Police Department on a traffic stop on McCurdy Ave. in Rainsville.  Leslie Susanne Spears (36 of Valley Head) was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  During the stop, Methamphetamine was found.

On Thursday, October 8th, Matthew McAlpin (47 of Sylvania) and Angela Bates (37 of Steele) were arrested on County Road 407 in Sylvania.  Both were charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

On Tuesday, October 20th, Jamie Covington (33 of Collinsville) was arrested on 2 warrants of Unlawful Distribution of Controlled Substance at her residence on Alabama Hwy 176 following an investigation conducted by Narcotics Agents.  Also, on Tuesday, October 20th, Deputies assisted Geraldine Police Department in a traffic stop on Hwy 75. Benjamin Gary (30 of Albertville) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x)3 and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  During the stop, Methamphetamine, Synthetic Marijuana and Controlled Pills were found.

On Monday, October 26th, William Akins (39 of Attalla) and Ashley Ross (34 of Horton) were arrested during a traffic stop at the intersection of County Road 479 and County Road 2 and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x3).  Methamphetamine, Heroin and Controlled Pills were found.  On the same day, Ramiro Torres (35 of Dutton) and Carlos Flores (23 of Fyffe) were arrested following a traffic stop on County Road 38 near Powell.  Both were charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Oxycodone was found as well as more than 8 grams of Methamphetamine.

On Tuesday, October 27th, Gerald Collins (60 of Fort Payne) was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance during a traffic stop on Hwy 35 in Rainsville.  During a search of the vehicle, Synthetic Marijuana was found.
