It is with a heavy heart we say goodbye to retired investigator, Clayborn Simpson.  Clayborn started with the Sheriff's Office in 1975. He was promoted to Chief Clerk in 1977. Clayborn went on the road as a deputy in 1985.  Clayborn was also the evidence technician for the S.O. from 1987 to 1993.  He was promoted to investigations in 1993. Clayborn worked as an investigator until his retirement in 2007. Shortly after his retirement, he went to work as the Revenue Enforcement Officer for DeKalb County.  He held that position until December of 2019.
