FORT PAYNE, Ala. - Due to the rise of COVID cases within our office and the community, the Sheriff's Office Lobby will be closed starting Monday, January 10, 2022.

Pistol permits will still be available online at our website http://www.dekalbcountysheriff.org

We are still here for all of your needs.  If you need an officer, for anything jail related or to make a report, please call our dispatch at (256) 845-3801.

DeKalb County Sheriff Nick Welden said of the incident: " These decisions are not easy ones to make, but with the safety of our employees and the community, we feel like this is the best decision at this time.  Let's all band together and keep all of those affected in our prayers."
