Four Drug Arrest

Sheriff Jimmy Harris states as follows:

          Sheriff Jimmy Harris reports the arrest of four individuals after an investigator working on tip line information stopped a suspicious vehicle on County Road 1983. A search of the occupants and vehicle turned up drugs and drug paraphernalia. A further search of the residence on 1983 uncovered additional drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine. Officers arrested Jonathan Wade Elders, 26 of Rainsville, Kendra Culpepper, 25 of Fort Payne, Brandon Wesley Elders, 20 of Rainsville and Justin William Downing, 31 of Rainsville. All four are charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The suspects were transported to the DeKalb County Detention Center where they await bond.

            Harris states “this is another case of people in the community being observant and getting information to us about suspicious activity. These arrests are a direct result of citizen involvement.”
