FORT PAYNE, Ala. - In the month of May 2024, Narcotics Agents made a total of 24 cases. There were 14 methamphetamine cases that were done, with 261 grams of meth seized, 4 marijuana cases with 618 grams seized, 3 fentanyl cases with 20 grams seized, 1 heroin case with 13 grams seized, 3 pill cases with 51 dosage units seized and 3 spice cases with 22 grams seized. Agents also conducted 5 search warrants and 1 seized vehicle. On Sunday, May 5th, while responding to a call on County Road 804 in Flat Rock, DeKalb County Deputies found suspected methamphetamine, kratom and drug paraphernalia. Ashia Nicole Dagnan (32 of Flat Rock) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x2), Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and 7 warrants for Failure to Appear.
On Thursday, May 9th, DeKalb County Deputies responded to a residence on Hwy 68 for an overdose. Upon arrival, Deputies found Joseph Daniel Lee Hill (40 of Crossville) to be responsive. DAS arrived on scene and checked Hill, who then refused any further treatment. During a search, Deputies found methamphetamine. During the booking in process of Hill, he was found to have methamphetamine concealed on his person. Hill was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Promote Prison Contraband 2nd, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and 5 warrants for Failure to Appear.
On Tuesday, May 14th, Officers with Henagar PD responded to a domestic violence call on Hilltop Road in Henagar. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with Juan Antonio Munoz (61 of Henagar), who told them a female had already fled the scene. Drug paraphernalia and 382 grams of marijuana, already packaged for resale, was found inside the residence. Munoz was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On Thursday, May 16th, Narcotic Agents conducted a search warrant at a residence on Bailey Chappel Road in Powell finding fentanyl, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Bruce Dewayne Rowland (59 of Rainsville) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x2), Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and 8 warrants for Failure to Appear.
On Friday, May 17th, Narcotics Agents were contacted after Deputies responded to a domestic call on Road 9101 in Higdon. Methamphetamine, marijuana, THC wax and drug paraphernalia were found inside the residence. Arthur Teshiuan Prescott (37 of Higdon) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Jessica Richardson Prescott (31 of Higdon) was charged with Resisting Arrest, Domestic Violence 3rd, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On Saturday, May 18th, Offices with Collinsville PD responded to a call on Hwy 68 at the Mapco of a possibly intoxicated female. Denice Michelle Gregg (50 of Boaz) was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Gregg was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Public Intoxication.
Again, on Saturday, May 18th, DCSO Corrections Officers called Narcotics Agents into the Detention Center after they found methamphetamine. After an investigation, Daniel Ryan Long (34 of Albertville) was charged with Promote Prison Contraband 2nd and 1 warrant for Failure to Appear. Daniel Bonilla (27 of Boaz) was charged with Promote Prison Contraband 2nd, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession with intent to Distribute - Controlled Substance and 9 warrants for Failure to Appear.
On Sunday, May 19th, DeKalb County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on County Road 51 and County Road 12 finding methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. Robbie Lee Hodge (56 of Fort Payne) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and 3 warrants for Failure to Appear. During the booking in process, Corrections Officers found Hodge to be in possession of methamphetamine which added an additional charge of Promote Prison Contraband 2nd.
On Tuesday, May 28th, DeKalb County Deputies observed Domestic Violence taking place in the parking lot of The Children's Place in Fort Payne. When Deputies were placing Breland Dewight Thomas (36 of Fort Payne) into custody, he thew a bag to the ground which contained synthetic marijuana. Thomas was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Domestic Violence 3rd and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On Tuesday, May 28th, DeKalb County Deputies and Narcotics Agents were dispatched to Brown Street in Fyffe on a possible overdose. While there, Agents detected a strong odor of marijuana. During a search of the residence, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found. Johmon Markis Butler (21 of Fyffe) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Antwon Devecio Bryant (19 of Fyffe), Arissa Lanae Jackson (20 of Fyffe) and Jakira Mona Horton (20 of Fyffe) were all charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On Wednesday, May 29th, DeKalb County Investigators stopped a vehicle on I-59 near Collinsville for driving at a high rate of speed. During the stop, methamphetamine, marijuana, suboxone and drug paraphernalia were found. Matthew Travis Kendrick (37 of Trussville) was charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x2). Amy Renee Young (43 of Pisgah) was charged with Escape 3rd (active warrant) and Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (x2).
